1. Conformity Declaration
We, being solely responsible: Hereby declare that
these chargers, identified by type and serial number
(LC 40: 2706...) comply with all regulations of the
principles 2006/95/EC, 2004/108/EC, 2011/65/EU
and standards EN 60335. Technical documentation

2. Specified Use
The chargers are only suitable for charging Metabo
battery packs.
This tool is not designed for use by persons with
physical, sensory or mental disabilities, or with
insufficient experience and/or knowledge, unless
they are supervised by a person responsible for
their safety, or have received instructions on how to
use the tool by this person.
The LC 40 is only suitable for charging Li-ion battery
packs (10.8 V, 1.5 Ah - 5.2 Ah, 3 cells).
Never attempt to charge batteries that
are not rechargeable. Danger of
explosion!
The user bears sole responsibility for damage
caused by improper use.
Generally accepted accident-prevention
regulations and accompanying safety instructions
should be observed.
3. General Safety Instructions
WARNING – Reading the
operating instructions will
reduce the risk of injury.
WARNING Read all safety
warnings and instructions.
Failure to follow all safety warnings
and instructions may result in
electric shock, fire and/or serious
injury.
Keep all safety instructions and
information for future reference.
Before using the charger,
carefully read through and
familiarise yourself with all
the enclosed safety information
and the Operating Instructions.
Keep all enclosed documentation
for future reference, and pass on
your charger only together with this
documentation.
4. Special Safety Instructions
For your own protection
and for the protection of
your charger pay attention
to all parts of the text that
are marked with this symbol!
Danger - electrical
voltage!
Slightly acidic, flammable
fluid may leak from
defective Li-ion battery
packs!
If battery fluid leaks out and comes
into contact with your skin, rinse
immediately with plenty of water. If
battery fluid leaks out and comes
into contact with your eyes, wash
them with clean water and seek
medical treatment immediately!
Do not recharge a fully charged
battery pack! Overcharging
damages and shortens the life
span of the battery pack!
Only use the charger
indoors.
Protect the charger from
moisture.
Never allow children to use the
machine.
