Power Supplies for Additional Components
To add additional components to the system, add an inline or rackmount power supply to the discussion unit chain.
Inline Power Supply
Use the PI-6000 power inserter to add an inline power supply for approximately 50 more discussion units. The unit may
be connected at any point in the chain to power the additional components. Multiple PI-6000 units can be used to reach
the maximum 250 supported discussion units.
Note: The PI-6000 does not refresh the data signal, so total cable length cannot exceed 120 m.
Central Control Unit
Rackmount Power Supply for 4 Additional Chains
Use the EX 6010 rackmount extension unit to add additional components and configuration options. The unit expands the
discussion unit chain into 4 separate outputs, each with a power supply equivalent of a CCU (approximately 50 units).
Note: The EX 6010 also refreshes the data signal, enabling an additional 120 m of cable from each port.
