To connect the Episode ES-AW-360-6-BRN speaker with a subwoofer that has a built-in amplifier:
1. Set the Tap Switch: Use a coin to set the speaker’s wattage tap according to your system needs and amplifier type (70V system).
2. Wire the Speaker: Connect the speaker wires using the included weatherproof wire nuts. Ensure proper polarity: + to +, – to –.
3. Connect to Subwoofer: - If the subwoofer has speaker-level (high-level) inputs and outputs: - Connect the amplifier’s output to the subwoofer’s speaker-level input. - Then connect the subwoofer’s speaker-level output to the Episode speaker. - If the subwoofer only has line-level (RCA) inputs, it cannot directly connect to the 70V speaker line. Use a line output converter or a subwoofer with 70V compatibility.
4. Power On and Test: After all wiring is completed, power the amplifier and subwoofer. Test the system and adjust tap settings or amplifier volume for balanced sound.
Make sure the speaker tap setting matches the amplifier type and total wattage does not exceed the amplifier's capacity.
