It is intended for use by network technical support personnel who are responsible for the installation, commissioning and maintenance of the device.

    Introduction Introduction The RUGGEDCOM RMC is an industrially hardened fiber optical media converter specifically designed to operate in harsh environments such as those found in electric utility substations and factory floors. The RMC provides industrial strength Ethernet copper-to-fiber media conversion allowing for 10Base-T to 10Base-FL and 100Base-TX to 100Base-FX over SingleMode or MultiMode fiber optics.

The bracket allows the device to be slid onto a standard 35 mm (1.4 in) DIN rail.
