Solution
Reinsert tubing into push-in fitting as
far as it will go.
Recut tubing.
Simply cut that portion away and
reinsert tubing into push-in fitting.
Replace the batteries.
Check and open it.
Keep the tubing straight.
Replace the cartridge.
