MECHANICAL ADJUSTMENT

NEEDLE MOVEMENT FOR STRAIGHT STITCH

TO CHECK:
If needle is zigzaging slightly when select the pattern selector dial at (
( 0 ), adjust it as follows.
ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE:
1. Set the pattern selector dial at (
2. Remove the front cover (see page 6).
3. Loosen the setscrew.
4. Turn the handwheel toward you with your hand so that the cam follower comes on the top of zigzag
cam.
Tighten the setscrew while pushing the arm (A) and (B) in the direction of arrows as shown below.
NOTE: After this adjustment, check if needle is not zigzag or clearance between the needle and
needle plate hole is 0.2mm or more and the clearance at the right and left needle drop is
even.
5. Attach the front cover.
