COOKING PREPARATION

Before using the appliance for the first
time, clean the parts of the rice cooker
thoroughly. Make sure all the parts are
completely dry before you start using the
appliance.
1. Measure the rice using the measuring
cup provided. Each cup of uncooked
rice normally gives two bowls of
cooked rice. Do not exceed the
quantities indicated on the inside of
the inner pot. A measuring cup of rice
is approximately 160 g.
2. To prevent damaging the non-stick
coating of the inner pot, use a
separate container to wash the rice.
3. Wash the rice thoroughly and then
transfer to the inner pot. Add water
to the level indicated on the scale
inside the pot that corresponds to
the number of cups of rice used.
For instance, if you cook 3 cups
of rice, add water up to the 3-cup
level indicated on the scale. You can
adjust the water level accordingly for
different types of rice and individual
preference.

4. Water should not exceed the
maximum water level mark.
5. Press the lid release button to open
the lid.
6. Wipe the outside of the inner pot
dry and clean to make sure there is
no water or foreign residue on the
heating element or the magnetic
switch.
7. Place the inner pot gently in the rice
cooker.
8. Close the lid of the rice cooker until
a 'click' sound is heard. Plug in the
power cord into the rice cooker and
to the wall socket and switch on the
mains.
