Nikon Diffusion Dome
• By attaching the included Nikon Diffusion Dome over the flash head,
light can be further diffused during bounce flash photography to create
extremely soft light with virtually no shadow.
• The same effect can be achieved with the camera in either horizontal or
vertical position.
• Light is more effectively diffused when the built-in wide panel is used
(0E-12).

Attach the Nikon Diffusion Dome as
shown in the diagram, with the Nikon
logo facing up.
• Detach the Nikon Diffusion Dome
while pulling the detaching knob
outward.
• When the Nikon Diffusion Dome is
attached, the zoom head position is
automatically set depending on the
camera's image area and illumination
pattern. The zoom head position is
set at 12 mm, 14 mm or 17 mm in FX
format, and 8 mm, 10 mm or 11 mm
in DX format (0E-2).
• The illumination pattern can be
changed in the setup menu (0B-24).
