Quick Start Guide

Overview

The Socket Bar Code Scanning PocketPak allows you to scan bar codes
anytime anywhere with any Windows Powered Pocket PC. Just pop in the
scanner when you need it, then pull it out when you're done. It's that easy!

Getting Started is Easy!

STEP 1: Install the software.

STEP 2: Insert the ISC.
Step 3: Start Socketscan.
Step 4: Assign A Trigger Button.
STEP 5: Start scanning data into a Pocket PC program!
STEP 1: Install the Software
1. Make an active connection between your Pocket PC and a host PC. Use
your Pocket PC's serial or USB connection cable or cradle.
2. Insert the SocketScan Installation CD into the host PC.
3. Click Start/Run on your host PC and type X:\SETUP.EXE (replace X
with your CD drive letter).
4. In the second Setup Center screen, select Install Bar Code Scanning
PocketPak software.
5. Follow the wizard until software installation is done. When you see
Application Downloading Complete, click OK. Remove the serial/USB
cable or cradle.
