USING THE MOWER AFTER A STORAGE PERIOD

1. Remove the spark plug, check that it is clean and that the electrode gap is correct. Pull the
starter several times (see p. 53).
2. We recommend that the spark plug be screwed down as far as possible by hand until finger
tight ; then use a plug spanner to tighten it by an extra 1/8 or 1/4 turn.
3. Check the level and condition of the engine oil (see p. 29).
4. Fill the fuel tank and start the engine.
NOTE: If the cylinder has been coated with oil, the engine will smoke on start-up. This is normal.

RÉUTILISATION APRÈS REMISAGE
1. Retirer la bougie d'allumage, vérifier si elle est propre et si l'écartement des électrodes est
correct. Tirer le lanceur à plusieurs reprises (voir p. 53).
2. Il est recommandé de visser la bougie à la main aussi loin que possible ; puis se servir d'une
clé à bougie pour donner encore 1/8 à 1/4 de tour supplémentaire.
3. Vérifier le niveau et l'état de l'huile moteur (voir p. 29).
4. Remplir le réservoir d'essence et mettre le moteur en marche.
NOTE : Si le cylindre a été enduit d'huile, le moteur fumera au démarrage mais cela est normal.
