9.96 kHz VAR tone ( par t of VO R

27. LO C DDM SWEEP Switch
Sets the Localizer sweep mode:
G O allows manual sweep or var iable
DDM adjusted by LO C VAR
DDM/DDM SWEEP AMPLITUDE
Contr ol.
G AR ( ar m r ight) or AL ( ar m left)
initializes inter nal sweep cir cuit to
0 DDM and deter mines initial
sweep dir ection pr ior to selecting
sweep mode ( S) .
G S initiates automatic LO C DDM
sweep beginning at 0 DDM and
deflecting to the dir ection
accor ding to the pr ior ar ming
setting ( AR or AL) . The sweep
continues to the maximum pointer
deflection deter mined by the LO C
VAR DDM/DDM SWEEP
AMPLITUDE Contr ol setting. The
sweep r ever ses and continues to
the maximum pointer deflection in
the other dir ection. The sweep is
symmetr ical r elative to 0 DDM.

28. PWR/BAT Switch

Two position switch contr ols power to
the Test Set:
G PWR connects Test Set to ac line
power connected to AC IN
Connector .
G BAT connects or disconnects Test
Set fr om inter nal Batter y.
Connecting the Test Set to the
Batter y activates an inter nal
batter y timer . Test Set oper ation
disconnects fr om the inter nal
Batter y after r eaching the inter nal
batter y timer limit ( ≈ 6 to 10
minutes) or by pr essing the
PWR/BAT Switch to BAT to
disconnect.
