1.8 BENCH OPERATION

STEP PROCEDURE
1. Ver ify FUSES ar e cor r ect for nor mal
oper ating voltage.
1- 2- 1, par a 1.5.
2. Ver ify VO LTAG E SELECT Switch is
set to the setting ( 115 or 230 VAC)
that matches the input ac power .
3. Connect ac power cable between AC
Power Connector
oper ating voltage
accor ding to Test Set configur ation.
Refer to 1- 2- 1, par a 1.5.
4. Pr ess PWR/BAT
position and
Indicator illuminates.
5. Connect UUT to Test Set.

1.9 EXTERNAL CLEANING

The following pr ocedur e contains r outine
instr uctions for cleaning the outside of the
Test Set.

TEST SET TO AVO ID
PO SSIBLE DAMAG E TO
ELECTRONIC CIRCUITS.
STEP
1. Clean fr ont panel buttons and display
face with soft lint- fr ee cloth. If dir t is
difficult to r emove, dampen cloth with
water and a mild liquid deter gent.
2. Remove gr ease, fungus and gr ound- in
dir t fr om sur faces with soft lint- fr ee
cloth dampened
alcohol.
3. Remove dust and dir t fr om connector s
with soft- br istled br ush.
4. Cover
suitable
tar nishing of connector contacts.
5. Clean cables with soft lint- fr ee cloth.
6. Paint exposed metal sur face to avoid
cor r osion.
