Hazards during loading
Lifting operations may be very risky if not carried out with the maximum
care.
Before loading, send
unauthorized people away, keep clear the area, check
if the towing vehicle is suitable.
Check the correct positiong of the loading ramps (their width has to allow
the tracks to pass easily).
Moreover, check that the area is clear with a "safe free zone" where to
move quickly, should the machine fall down.
Before loading the machine on the towing vehicle, check that the loading
platform is large enough for the minitransporter.
Minitransporter transportation
The surface where the machine will be loaded must be flat to avoid possible
load movement.
The towing vehicle engine must be off, the gear engaged and the parking
brake pulled.
Loading and unloading must be carried out when the machine is empty
(without loads).
Load the machine on the towing vehcicle by carrying the minitransporter in
reverse gear at low speed, paying attention to take the ramps and walk on
them confidently.
Once the ministransporter is on the towing vehicle, check that it cannot
move.
Fix firmly the machine to the platform with taut ropes or chains to avoid
possible movements. Hooking devices must be installed so that they may
cause no damage to the frame panels.
After transporting the machine and before de-hooking the machine check
that all devices are in order and may cause no hazard.
Remove the ropes and chains, unload the machine by using the same
means and modes as for the loading.
