Replace the drain plug and
tighten it securely. Pour fresh
oil through the filler hole. Ap-
proximately 3400 ml will be
required.
(9) Start the engine and allow it to
idle for a few minutes.
(10) After stop the engine a few mi-
nutes. reins pect the oil level. If
the oil level is below" F" line.
pour fresh oil to the "F"line.
CAUTION.
Check to see that no oil Is leaking
from the oil filter and drain plug.
CARBURETOR
Undisturhed carburetion is the basis
of the!peHormance you ought to ex-
pect of your engine. The carburetor
is factoryset for the best carbure-
-tion. Do not attempt to alter its set-
ting. There are two items of adjust-
ment. however. under your care: en-
gine idle speed and throttle cable
play.
ENGINE IDLE SPEED ADJUST-
MENT
(1) Start up the engine and let the
engine run until it warms
up
fully.
(2) After engine warms up, turn the
throttle
stop screw <D located
on the carburetor
in or out so
that engine may run at 1100-
1300 r/min.
NOTE:
The
engine
idle
speed

should be adjusted with the engine
fully warm.
THROTTLE CABLE ADJUSTMENT

(1) Loosen the lock nut<D.
(2) Adjust the ~able slack by turn-
ing adjuster <IDto obtain the
correct slack of O.
(3) After adjusting the slack. tight-
en the lock nut.
(4) Loosen the lock nut<ID
(S)Adjust the cable slack by turning
adjuster @in or out to obtain the
correct slack of O.S-1. Omm.
(6)Tighten the lock nut
WARNING
After completing throttle cable
adjustment. check that the handle-
bar movement does not raise the
engine idle speed and that the
throttle grip returns smoothly and
automatically.
CLUTCH
At each maintenance
interval. adjust
the clutch cable play with the dutch
cable adjl:ster. The cable play should
be 4 mm as measured
at the clutch
lever holder before the clutch begins
to disengtge. If you find the play of
the clute!: incorrect. adjust it in the
following way.
(1) Loosen the lock nut <D and trun
in th~ adjuster
<IDas far as it
will go.
(2) Loosm the lock nuts <ID.Turn
the cable adjuster
@ to obtain
approximately
4 mm of free
play at the clutch lever holder
as indicated.
(3)
Minor adjustment
can now be
made with the adjuster <ID.
(4) Tighten the lock nuts <D and<ID.
after finishing adjustment.
