MAINTENANCE

5.15 RADIATOR _______________________________________________________________

!
To prevent serious bodily injury from hot coolant or
steam blow-out, never attempt to remove the radiator
cap while the engine is running. Stop the engine and
wait until it is cool. Even then, use extreme care when
removing the cap.
!
Do not pour cold water into a hot radiator. Do not operate
engine without a proper coolant mixture. Install cap and
tighten securely.
Check coolant level daily. Radiator should be full and recovery
bottle should be up to the cold mark.
Drain and refill annually. Remove the radiator cap, open the
engine block drain, and the radiator drain. Empty and clean
the recovery bottle.

5.16 ROLL OVER PROTECTIVE STRUCTURE (ROPS) ________________________________

A Roll Over Protective Structure (ROPS), designed for this
mower, is available as an optional accessory. If your mower is
equipped with this device, inspect it periodically and follow
operating procedures described in the Safety & Operation
Manual.
!
Do not loosen or remove bolts, do not weld, drill, modify,
bend, or straighten a damaged structure.

5.17 TIRES ___________________________________________________________________

1.
Keep tires properly inflated to prolong tire life. Check
inflation pressure while the tires are cool. Inspect tread
wear.
2.
Check pressure every 50 hours or once a month. Use an
accurate, low pressure tire gauge.
3.
Keep tires inflated to 10-12 psi (0.69 -0.87 BAR).
!
Unless you have the proper training, tools, and
experience, DO NOT attempt to mount a tire on a rim.
Improper mounting can produce an explosion which
may result in serious injury.
