Flooded Engin€
If the engine fails to start after iepeated
attemlts, rl may be flooded with exces
fuel. To clear a nooded engine, tum the
engine stop switch "OF'F and push rhe
choke knob down all the way to "Futly
Open (B). Open the ttuortle fully and
crank the engine with the electdc starter
tb. 5 seconds. Tum the engine stop switch
"ON" ud folow th€ "High Air Tempera-

engine speed by 2.000 ipm between
odomet€r readitres of 600 niles (1,000
km) and 1,000 m es (1,600 km). Drive
brbkly, vary speeds frequently and use

for short bursts only. Do
not exceed 7,000 rpm.
3. Bear in mind never to lue rhe engine
with fu
throttle at low engine speeds.
Tlts rule is applicable not only during
break-in but at aU times.
