Initial Setup

The FS-5 can be accessed by computer in three ways:
• Directly by USB cable.
• Through a wired (ethernet) network.
• Through a wireless network.

FS-5 to Computer

1. With FS-5 powered off, connect the FS-5 through its
COMPUTER I/O
Use either:
• USB 2.0, type A to A, cable provided with the unit.
• USB 2.0 to FireWire cable extender, not provided.
2. Power up FS-5.
3. Mount the FS-5 drive on the computer.
