DESCRIPTION
All AM, FM and PM specifications are checked on a measuring receiver.
Distortion is checked by selecting the modulation mode and audio distortion
mode.

Measuring Receiver HP 8902A
Sensor Module HP 11722A
PROCEDURE:
Setup
1. Connect the instruments as shown in Figure 4 - 5 preset the
instruments. Set the 8642's output amplitude to +10.0 dBm. Set
the measuring receiver as follows:
MEASUREMENT MODE: AM
DETECTOR: PEAK+
HP FILTER: 300 HZ
LP FILTER: 1 5 kHz
FM DE-EMPHASIS: OFF
2. AM Indicator Accuracy
Set the HP 8642 AM to 90%. Set the HP 8642 frequency to the
values in the table below, and verify that the measuring receiver
readings are within the specified limits.
