To set oven to start cleaning at a later time:
An automaticprogramof 2½ hoursis pre-setfor an average soiledoven. For a
heavilysoiled oven, programcan be extendedup to 4 hours.
a. Tum SET dial to desiredstart time,
b. Push ENTER buttonto enter START TIME. The IndicatorWordsSTOP TIME
willappear inthe Displayand the timewill be 2Y2hourslaterthan the starttime.
c. For an average soiled oven: PushENTER buttonto enterstoptime. The oven
will beep and the wordAUTO willblink. When start time is reached,the oven
willbeepand thewordAUTO willremaininthe Displayduringthe cleaningcycle.
For a heavily soiled oven: Turn SET dial in a clockwisedirectionto desired
time (maximum4 hourscleaningcycle). PushENTER button to enterstoptime.
The oven willbeep and the wordAUTO willblink. When start time is reached,
the oven will beep and the word AUTO will remain in the Displayduringthe
cleaningprocess.
6. The oven CLEAN indicatorlightwillglow when all stepsare completedproperly,
exceptwhen set for a delayedstart. The lightgoes offwhen stoptime is reached.
7. The cleaning processbegins immediatelyunless the self-cleaningprocess has
been set for a delayedstart. When the oventemperaturereaches550°F, the LOCK
indicator light will glowand the door cannotbe opened untilthe temperaturedrops
below550°F. DO NOT TRY TO UNLOCK THE DOOR WHILE LOCK INDICATOR
LIGHT IS ON. The normalcleaning processtakes the timeselected on the clock
plus about45 minutesfor the oven to cool down before the LOCK indicatorlight
goes out and the doorcan be opened.
8. At end of time set, oven willstop automaticallyand not beep.
9. After the LOCK indicatorlightgoes out, movethe door lever lockto the left. The
oven doorcan now be opened.
10. Turn the OVEN and TEMP knobsfrom Clean to Off after the door is unlocked.
Important: IF THE TEMP KNOB IS TURNED TO OFF BEFORE THE DOOR IS
UNLOCKED, THE DOOR WILL NOT OPEN. Forcingthe lockwilldamagethe lock
mechanism. Return TEMP Knobto Clean, unlockthe door,then turnTEMP Knob
Off.
NOTE: A fan comeson wheneverthe OVEN Knob isset on Clean. Therefore,the
fan willcontinue to operateat the endof thecleaningprocessuntilthe OVEN/
Knobis turned Off, The fan will also start as soonas the controlsare set
for a delayed start of the self-cleaning process.
To check START TIME before cleaning begins
_old in START TIME button untilthe wordsSTART TIME appear in the Display, The
start time will be displayedbriefly,then the Displaywill returnto time of day.
