7.4 Removing/fitting the burner

The burner is normally in operating position. The burner works,
as a rule, almost without any wear and residue.
It may be necessary to remove the burner for maintenance and
cleaning jobs or if there is damage in the combustion chamber
area.
WARNING!
Live parts can cause an electric shock on contact and
cause fatal burns or injuries.
Switch off the heating main switch before disman-
tling the burner and secure it from being uninten-
tionally switched on.
WARNING!
Danger of burning on hot surfaces.
Let the burner cool down sufficiently before
removing it.
Wear protective gloves.

7.4.1 Burner dismantling

1. Switch off main heater switch, turn off gas supply.
2. Remove the noise damping hood and boiler cladding (see
section 9.2.1).
3. Pull off the air intake hose (fig. 7-11, item 1) from the burner
and turn to the side.
4. Pull off the plugs X1, X4 and X5 from the automatic firing
(fig. 7-11).
5. Unscrew the burner flange (fig. 7-11, item 3).

6. Lift the burner out upwards.
WARNING!
Incorrect removal and fitting of the burner can cause
leaks and the gas to escape.
Never release both clamping plates on the burner
flange (sealed with sealing lacquer).

7.4.2 Burner installation

1. Insert the burner into the combustion chamber, attach the
burner flange securely with the four fixing bolts.
2. Restore all electrical plug connections.
3. Connect the air supply hose to the burner.
4. Open gas intake and check gas line for leaks
5. Turn power supply back on.
6. Start the burner. Check function and setting (see
section 7.3.2).
7. Attach boiler cladding and noise damping hood.
