Section 8: Tools
Tools are feature options that allow you to use
your phone for a variety of non-phone related
activities such as Camera, Music, Voice
Services, Alarms, Calendar, Tasks, Memo,
Calculator, Tip Calculator, Converter, World
Clock, Timer, and Stopwatch.
To access Tools menu:
From the Home screen, press Menu
Tools.
Camera
This section explains how to use the camera
and video recorder (camcorder) on your
phone. You can take photographs and shoot
video by using the built-in camera
functionality. Your camera produces photos in
JPEG format.
Important! Do not take photos of people
without their permission.
Do not take photos in places where
cameras are not allowed.
Do not take photos in places where
you may interfere with another
person's privacy.
Using the Camera
Use the Camera application to take photos.
Note: When taking a photo in direct sunlight or
in bright conditions, shadows may
appear on the photo.
1. From the Home screen, press Menu
My Files
Camera.
– or –
From the Home screen, press Menu
Tools
Camera.
The Camera application displays.
2. Adjust the image by aiming the camera
at the subject.
3. Before taking the photo, press Menu
and the Left and Right select keys to
access camera option icons. For more
information, refer to "Camera Options"
on page 70.
4. You can use the keypad to quickly
change the camera options using the
camera shortcut keys.
