Tap the Brightness tab.

Tap the Disable backlight check box to completely turn off the display backlight.

Changing the Keypad Backlight Settings

To change the keypad backlight settings in order to conserve more battery power:
On devices with Windows CE 6.0, tap Start > Settings > Control Panel > Keylight > Battery Power.

Tap Advanced.

Changing the Settings for the Display Backlight
This is how you change the settings for the display backlight to save battery power:
Tap on Start > Settings > System > Backlight > Battery Power.
