Problem and Solution Guide
ICE MAKER
Problem
Ice Not
Dispensing
Troubleshooting
Refer to the table below to find possible solutions to some problems you may experience
with your refrigerator.
Possible Cause
Refrigerator or freezer doors
are not completely closed.
The dispenser panel is
locked.
Ice is not selected at the
dispenser.
Infrequent use of the
dispenser.
Ice bin is empty.
The refrigerator is not
connected to a water supply
The water line shutoff valve is
closed.
Reverse osmosis water
filtration system is connected
to your ice maker water line.
Ice will not dispense if any of the doors are left open or ajar.
Both doors must be shut.
Press and hold the word "Lock" for three seconds to unlock
the dispenser. The paddlelock icon will unlock when the
dispenser is unlocked and ready to dispence ice.
Press the cube ice or crushed ice icon until it lights. This
indicates ice has been selected.
Ice cubes can stick together if they are left to sit, preventing
them from freely travelling down the dispenser chute.
If the ice cubes are stuck together, break them up so they
are able to tumble down the dispenser.
Wait up to 24 hours for ice cubes to be produced.
Make sure the ice maker is not OFF or the sensor arm is
obstructed.
Check that there are no kinks in the water line.
Connect the refrigerator to the water supply.
Open the water shutoff valve so water can travel to the ice
maker.
Reverse osmosis filtration systems can reduce the water
pressure below the minimum level, causing ice maker
issues.
