Communicating to a Request from a Recipient (Polling Communication)

The polling communication function allows you to receive pending originals in the sender's fax
machine by manually operating the receiving fax machine. In this document, the operation in which
this equipment is used as the sender's fax machine is called "polling transmission" while that in which
it is used as the recipient's fax machine is called as "polling reception".
 Storing data of originals in the memory (polling transmission)
Upon request of a recipient's fax machine, this equipment sends an original document stored into the
memory to the recipient. By setting a recipient's fax number to an original stored into the memory, you
can permit specific recipients to receive the original using the polling transmission.
Place the original(s).

Press [Fax] on the Home screen.

Set the transmission conditions.

Press [Option] > [Advanced] > [Polling Reserve].

If you set the fax number (the recipient's telephone number), key in the number

(maximum 20 digits), and then press [OK].
If you don't have to set the fax number, leave it blank and press [OK].
