Test the Installation

Now you will manually start the Oracle HTTP Server to verify the installation and
configuration of the server
$APACHECTL START

Browser Test

You can test the installation using your web browser
following URL with the information for the Oracle HTTP Server you just installed:
HTTP://host.domain:<port>
If this is a new installation, the browser should display the standard introductory
page with the following bold text at the top:
"If you see this, it means that the installation of the Apache web server
software on this system successful."
The Apache logo is displayed at the bottom.

TELNET Test

You can also use TELNET on the local host to test the installation
