Booting Installation Media

This topic describes how to boot from an OS distribution media (CD or DVD) or an equivalent
ISO file. It contains the following topics.

When you are done, control passes from the BIOS to the OS installation procedures. Follow the
steps in your OS installation guide.

Connect to the console.

Do one of the following:
From the ILOM web interface, select Remote Control > Remote Power Control, then select
the Power Cycle option from the Host action list box.
From the local server, press the Power button (approximately 1 second) on the front panel of
the server to power off the server, then press the Power button again to power on the server.
