CAUTION
Use the maximum ground speed only when driving
from one area to another.
Maximum speed is not recommended when using
a mounted or towed attachment.
Important: Do not operate in reverse with the
attachment in the down (operating) position or the
attachment could be severely damaged.

Ignition Switch

The ignition switch (Figure 9), used to start and stop the
engine, has three positions: Off, Run, and Start. Rotate the
key clockwise to the Start position to engage the starter
motor. Release the key when the engine starts. The key will

Choke Control
To start a cold engine, close carburetor choke by moving
choke control (Figure 9) up to the Closed position. After
engine starts, regulate choke to keep engine running smoothly.
As soon as possible, open the choke by moving it down to the
Open position. A warm engine requires little or no choking.
Throttle Control
The throttle control lever (Figure 9) connects to and operates
the throttle linkage to the carburetor. The control has 2
positions: Slow and Fast. The engine speed can be varied
between the 2 settings.
Note: The engine cannot be stopped by the throttle control.
Lift Lever
To raise the attachment, pull the lift lever (Figure 10) back; to
lower the attachment, push the lever forward. For the float
