Of course, you can also set the time and date of the base station manually if you don't get any DCF radio reception.
Bad reception of the DCF signal can be caused by, e.g., well-shielded rooms or buildings, possibly with
vaporised insulation glass windows, specially coated wallpapers or particular methods of construction (ferro-
concrete). Reception is also diminished if the base station is near electrical/electronic devices (television,
computer). The same applies in the vicinity of all metal objects (washing machine, dryer, refrigerator, steel
doors).

C) Basic setting

1.
Use a sharp object to press the "Reset" knob (J) on the main unit before operating the unit again. The main unit transmits an
audio signal ("beep") after restarting.
2.
The icon of the channel search (1) will blink, the one of the DCF-reception (10). Wait until the external sensor has registered
with the base, or or stop the reception attempt of the DCF-signal by pressing the " " (E) button. Now you can start the setup
procedure.
3.
Hold the "Clock" button (C) down for ca. 2 seconds to get into setting mode. The hour display flashes. Pressing the " " (E)
or "
" (D) button changes the display mode from 12 h to 24 h, or vice versa.
4.
Subsequent pressing of the "Clock" button (C) activates the setting and switches to the hour display.

Pressing the " " button (E) switches to the next highest position or the "

1.
Press the "Clock" button (C) quickly three times in a row. The current alarm time is displayed for 10 seconds.

Hold the "Clock" button (C) down for ca. 2 seconds; the hour display flashes.

Set the desired hour for the alarm time. Pressing the " " button (E) switches to the next highest position or the "
(D) to the next lowest position. Confirm with the "Clock" button (C).

The minute display flashes. Set the desired minute for the alarm time.

Pressing the " " button (E) switches to the next highest position or the "
