8. Battery installation

Observe correct polarity while inserting the battery. Remove the battery if the device is not used for a long
period of time to avoid damage through leaking.
Leaking or damaged battery might cause acid burns when contact with skin, therefore use suitable
protective gloves to handle corrupted battery.
Keep battery out of reach of children. Do not leave the battery lying around, as there is risk, which children
or domestic pets could swallow it.
Make sure that battery is not dismantled, short-circuited or thrown into fire. Never recharge non-
rechargeable battery. There is a risk of explosion!

A) Installation of batteries in the main unit

1.
Open the battery compartment on the lower side of the main unit. For this, turn the catch screw a quarter rotation with a coin
or other suitable tool (from "Lock " to "Open").

The battery holder is pushed out due to spring pressure.
3.
Insert 4 AA batteries, keeping in mind the correct polarity. A beep sounds.

Close the battery compartment by lightly pressing in against the spring resistance and turn the catch screw into the locked
position ("Lock").
The base station can also be operated with the plug-in power supply unit provided.

B) Installation of batteries in the external sensor

1.
Battery installation in the main unit must already have taken place. Within a few seconds, insert the batteries in the transmitter,
since otherwise there could be problems with registration.
2.
The battery compartment for the external sensor is located on the back.
3.
Open the battery compartment of the sensor by lightly pushing the cover aside with your finger.
