4. Pull the fuel line off the fuel filter (Figure 33).
Open the fuel shut off valve and allow the
gasoline to drain into a gas can or drain pan.
Note: Now is the best time to install a new
fuel filter because the fuel tank is empty. Refer
to Replacing the Fuel Filter.
5. Install the fuel line onto the fuel filter. Slide
the hose clamp close to the valve to secure the
fuel line.

Replacing the Fuel Filter
Replace the fuel filter after every 200 operating
hours or yearly, whichever occurs first.
Never install a dirty filter if it is removed from the
fuel line.
Note: Remember how the fuel filter is installed.
Note: Wipe up any spilled fuel.
1. Disengage the PTO, stop the engine, remove
the key, and wait for all moving parts to stop
before leaving the operating position.
2. Close fuel shut off valve at the fuel tank
(Figure 33).
3. Squeeze the ends of the hose clamps together
and slide them away from the filter (Figure 34).

4. Remove the filter from the fuel lines.
5. Install a new filter and move the hose clamps
close to the filter.
6. Open fuel shut off valve at fuel tank
(Figure 33).
7. Check for fuel leaks and repair if needed.
Electrical System
Maintenance

Servicing the Fuse

The electrical system is protected by a fuse. It
requires no maintenance. If the fuse blows check
component or circuit for malfunction or short.
To replace fuse pull out on the fuse (Figure 35)
to remove or replace it.
