The total pressure exerted by oxygen in a breathing mix. It is a measure-
ment of the concentration of oxygen in a gas mixture. PPO
termined by the percentage of oxygen in a gas mixture and the depth at
which a diver breathes the gas. A PPO

The amount of excess nitrogen remaining in a diver's body after one or
more dives.
The level of conservativeness of the decompression algorithm. This allows

algorithm or a progressive algorithm.

decompression stop.
The amount of time that elapses between surfacing from a dive and be-
ginning a new dive.
