Changing Engine Oil and Filter
The engine holds approximately 10 L of oil. Change the oil
and filter after the first 50 hours, then change both after
every 100 hours operation. However, change oil more
frequently when the engine is operated in dusty or sandy
conditions. If possible, run the engine just before changing
oil because warm oil flows better and carries more
contaminants than cold oil.

Unlatch and raise the hood and prop it open (Fig.
32). Make sure the hood prop is secured in one of
the mounting brackets on the hood. Unlatch and
remove both side panels (Fig. 32).

Place the drain pan in line with the drain plug (Fig.
35). Clean the area around the drain plug.

Remove the drain plug and allow oil to drain into
the pan. Remove and replace the oil filter (Fig. 36);
refer to the parts catalog for the replacement
number. Apply a coating of oil to the filter O-ring
and tighten the filter by hand.

ENGINE FUEL SYSTEM

Locate the fuel filter/water separator on the lower
left side of the engine and drain it daily (Fig. 37).
2.
After every 200 hours of operation, replace the filter
element of the fuel filter/water separator.
