  • Page 173 Diagnosing Cutting Performance Problems Over a period of time, the seals in the deck motors can deteriorate and wear from heat and contamination. A leaking motor seal will by--pass oil to the case drain line and make the motor less efficient. Eventually enough oil loss will occur and cause the deck motor to stall in heavy cutting conditions.

The PRESS spacer must contact the snap ring to be sure of the correct assembly of components. 3. Thoroughly oil the bearing cups.
