If Oil does not leak from the check bolt
hole:
Refit the check bolt and sealing washer.
Remove the dipstick and pour some oil into
the frame. Re-insert the dipstick and
recheck the oil level as per the above
procedure.
Wipe any spilt oil prior to starting the
engine.
Recommended Oil
Genuine Honda oil for 4-stroke motorcycle.
10W – 30 ( General use )
Honda GN4
20W – 50 ( Hotter Areas )
Honda GN4
If you are using the products other than
Honda, select from the following ranges.
 API type:
 SAE rating:
diagram on page 47.
 Do not use oils containing Friction
Modifiers.
SJ grade

The engine oil also lubricates the clutch.
Use of engine oils designed to reduce
wear and tear on the engine could cause
the clutch to slip, affect engine start up,
degrade engine performance and even
shorten the engine life.
Do not use oil with additives or friction
modifiers.
Do not mix different brands / and or
grades of oil and do not use oil that
doesn't match the chart, regardless of the
quality. Use of such oil may cause engine
damage or loss of performance.
