Protective apparel

 Both rider and passenger are required
by law to wear a helmet. Secure the
strap properly. Helmets approved to
AS1698 are the only legal helmets in
Australia.
 Wear protective clothing and gear such
as:
 Face shield or goggles.
 Motorcycle boots or any footwear
that covers the ankles.
 Leather gloves.
 Long pants and a long sleeved
jacket.
Riding apparel should be bright or reflective.
Allow freedom of movement.
Avoid flared pants and loose sleeved
jackets, which could get caught with the
brake and gear shift pedals.
Caution
Wearing the helmet incorrectly
increases the risk of serious injury or
death in an accident.
Both rider and passenger must wear
helmets, protective gear and protective
clothing.
