Engine Oil

Note:
The engine, the muffler and the exhaust
pipes are extremely hot after stopping the
engine. Be careful to avoid burn injuries.
Oil Level
Prior to starting the engine and checking the
oil level, please carry out the following
checks:
1. Place the motorcycle on a flat surface.
2. Remove the Engine Oil Dipstick.
3. Wipe the oil from the Dipstick
4. Ensure that the motorcycle is upright
and insert the Dipstick. Do not screw in.
5. If oil can be seen on the Dipstick,
proceed to check the oil quantity
(Page48).
If Oil cannot be seen on the Dipstick:
Remove oil check bolt and sealing washer
on the right hand side of the crankcase.
If Oil leaks from the check bolt hole:
Refit the check bolt and sealing washer.
Recheck the oil level as per the above
procedure.
