• If you put a system board down, be sure to put it only on a padded surface such as an ESD mat or a
corrugated conductive material.
For access, remove these FRUs in order:
• "1010 Base cover assembly" on page 52
• "1020 Battery pack" on page 53
• "1030 Hard disk drive or solid-state hybrid drive" on page 54
• "1040 Memory module" on page 55
• "1050 Wireless-LAN /Bluetooth card" on page 57
• "1060 Thermal fan assembly and Heat Sink assembly" on page 59
Removal steps of the system board
Detach keyboard connector, finger printer board connector, touchpad connector and IO board connector in
the direction shown by arrows
DC-IN connector and IO board connector in the direction shown by arrow
Remove four screws 5
