Text and Multimedia Messaging

Your phone can send and receive text and multimedia
messages.
Creating and Sending Messages
1. From the Home screen, tap
2. Tap
New message.
3. Tap Enter recipient and enter a name, phone number or
email address, or tap
Groups, Favorites, Contacts or Recent. As you enter
text, matching contacts appear. Tap a contact to add it
to the list.
4. Tap
Menu for options:
• Add subject: Adds a Subject line to your message and
changes it from a Text (SMS) message to a Multimedia (MMS)
message.
• Scheduling: Select a delivery date and time for this message.
• Discard: Erase the message without sending it.
• Font size: Select an option from the Font size pop-up.
5. Tap Enter message, and enter the message text. While
entering the message, use these options (available
options depend on attachment):

Attach to add media or content to the message
(converts the message to MMS).
7. Tap
Menu for options:
• Insert smiley: Add a text emoticon to the message.
• Add text: Select text from S Memo, Calendar, Contacts, or Text
templates to add to this message.
• View contact: Displays recipient contact information.
• Add slide/Remove slide: Add or remove a slide. Slides hold
pictures or other media, and adding a slide changes the
message from a Text (SMS) message to a Multimedia (MMS)
message.
• Add subject: Adds a Subject line to your message and
changes it from a Text (SMS) message to a Multimedia (MMS)
message.
• Scheduling: Select a delivery date and time for this message.
• Discard: Erase the message without sending it.
• Font size: Select an option from the Font size pop-up.
8. Tap
to send the message.
