Updating Contacts from Recent calls
Save a phone number from a recent call to create a new
contact, or update an existing contact.
(For more information, see "Creating or Updating Contacts
Using Recent calls" on page 62.)
Choosing Contacts to Display
1. From the Home screen, tap
2. Tap
Menu; then tap Contacts to display:
• All contacts: Show all contacts.
• Device: Show only contacts with phone numbers.
• <Account name>: Show only contacts that are saved to a
particular account.
• Customized list: Select contact types for each account or for
the phone.

2. Tap
Menu; then tap Settings:
• Only contacts with phones: Show only contacts with at least
one stored phone number.
• List by: Sort contacts by First name or by Last name.

• Display contacts by: Display contacts with First name first or
with Last name first.
• Contact sharing settings: Set your preference for transferring
contacts by Bluetooth contacts. (For more information about
sending contacts, see "Sending Namecards (vCards)" on
page 51.)

Contact Entry Options

2. Tap a contact to display it. Tap
• History: View calls and messages to and from this contact.
• Edit: Modify contact information. (For more information, see
"Updating Contacts" on page 46.)
• Delete: Erase the contact record.
• Link contact/Separate contact: Manage multiple contacts as
one. (For information, see "Linking Contacts" on page 50.)
• Mark as default: Set a default phone number or other field
(such as IM or email address). Defaults are the contact method
used when creating a message or calling a contact. You can
also set a default by touching and holding on a contact field.
• Share namecard via: Send the namecard. (For information,
see "Sending Namecards (vCards)" on page 51.)
