Before Starting
1. Read safety infromation at the beginning of manual.
2. Clean the generator, removing dirt and dust, particularly
the engine cooling air inlet. Caution must be taken to
ensure generator is 100% dry before use.
3. Check the air filter for dirt and dust. If air filter is dirty,
replace air filter with a new one as required.
4. Check fastening nuts and bolts for tightness.
Engine Oil Check
1. To check the engine oil level, place the generator on
secure level ground with the engine stopped.
2. Remove the dipstick from its holder (Figure 14) and
wipe clean.

3. Reinsert dipstick (Figure 15), then remove dipstick from
its holder. Check the oil level shown on the dipstick.

INSPECTION/SETUP

4. If the oil level is low, remove the oil filler cap (Figure 16)
and fill to a safe operating level (max) as indicated by
the dipstick. Fill with recommended type oil as listed in
Table 8. Maximum oil capacity is 2.64 quarts (2.5 liters).
