2wayPearl general instructions
1. Only use the 2wayPearl on a 2wayFix and make sure to
read the instructions carefully.
2. You are personally responsible for the safety of your
child at all times.
3. Never hold your child on your lap when driving.
4. The 2wayPearl is intended for car use only.
5. The 2wayPearl is developed for an intensive use of
approximately 10 years.
6. We advise to check the expanded polystyrene (EPS)
parts regularly for damages.
7. Do not use second-hand products whose history is
unknown. Some parts could be broken, torn or missing.
8. Replace the 2wayPearl when it has been subject of
violent stresses in an accident: the safety of your child
can no longer be guaranteed.
9. Read this instruction manual carefully and keep it in the
storage space in the 2wayFix.

WARNING :
Do not make any changes to the
2wayPearl whatsoever, as this could lead to unsafe
situations.
2wayPearl car use
1. Before buying this product make sure the car seat is
compatible with the vehicle it is to be used in.
2. Make sure the fold-down rear seat is locked into
position.
3. Install the 2wayPearl in a rearward-facing position on a
2wayFix when your child is between 67 and 105 cm.
4. You may install the 2wayPearl in a forward-facing
position on a 2wayFix when you child is older then
15 months. However, Maxi-Cosi recommends to use
the 2wayPearl as long as possible rearward-facing.
5. Press the test button to check a proper installation of
the product. When one of the LED indicators is red,
repeat the installation steps until all LED indicators
are green.
6. Prevent the 2wayPearl from becoming trapped
or weighed down by luggage, seats and/or
slamming doors.
7. Make sure that all luggage and other objects are secure.
8. Always cover the 2wayPearl when exposed to
direct sunlight in the car. Otherwise, the cover,
metal and plastic parts could become too hot for
your child's skin.
WARNING :
Switch off the front passenger airbag
when your child is sitting in a rearward-facing position in
the front passenger seat.
WARNING :
Switch on the front passenger airbag
when your child is sitting in a front-facing position and
place the passenger seat in the rearmost position.
2wayPearl and your child
1. Never leave your child unattended.
2. Always secure your child with the harness belt.
3. Check to make sure the headrest is adjusted to the
proper height.
4. Before every use, make sure the harnesses are not
damaged or twisted.
5. Make sure you can fit no more than one finger between
the harnesses and your child (1cm). If there is more
space than 1 cm, tighten the harness belt further.
WARNING :
When using the 2wayPearl in a
rearward-facing position, the maximal recline position
may only be used for a child with a maximum length
of 97 cm.

2wayPearl maintenance instructions
1. The cover can be removed for washing. If the cover
needs to be replaced at any time, only use official
Maxi-Cosi fabrics.
2. Keep the 2wayPearl clean. Do not use lubricants or
aggressive cleaning agents.
