Options during a call

The following options are available to you during an active call:
Mute
Send DTMF
Contacts
To access these options:
Press
during a call to view the list of options.
Scroll to the desired option, and press
Follow the instructions shown on the display.
Mute call
To mute a call in progress, select Mute,
which switches off the microphone.
Muted
Press
during an active call.
Scroll to Muted, and press
Press
to unmute the microphone.
Send DTMF tones
DTMF tone strings can be used to send passwords or to access
your answering machine or to control an automatic voice
dialogue system.
During a call, press
Scroll to
Send
DTMF, and press
.
is displayed.
to mute the call.

Scroll right to access the contacts in order to select a string
of numbers that have been predefined and saved.
Scroll left to enter a string of numbers.
Press
to select the desired entry.
If you have accessed the contact entries, scroll to the
defined string, and press
or
To enter the desired string of numbers, use the keypad.
For further information, see "Basic components of the
handset" on page
14.
When a number is selected, it is immediately sent as a DTMF
tone.
Press
to exit this option and return to the call display.
The call in progress remains active.
Note
You can save DTMF strings as contacts. For further
information on adding entries to the contacts, see "Add
a name" on page 31.
Contacts
During a call, you may wish to view contact entries to check a
number or to give the caller a particular number.
To view contacts:
During a call, press
Scroll right to the desired letter of the alphabet, and press
to open the list of names beginning with this letter.
