Free-arm sewing

Removing the extension table

To change machine for free-arm sewing, lift right edge (1)
of extension table, slide it to the left and off the machine
(2).
To replace the extension table, slide it to the right
keeping it even with the free-arm, until the tabs on the
right lock into place.
Fabric handling, when sewing tubular and hard reach
garment areas, is simplified and made easier when you
use the free-arm sewing capability of your sewing
machine.
Applications
Sleeves
Free-arm sewing takes the difficulty out of topstitching,
sleeves, finishing waistbands and trouser legs rotate
smoothly under the needle, around the arm, allowing you
to place your stitching accurately.
Buttons
Sewing buttons on a cuff or neckband is easy with free-
arm sewing. The sewing arm allows room for cuffs to slip
onto without being stretched out of shape, and you can
also see and handle the stitching area more easily.

Cambio de agujas

1. Eleve la aguja a su posición más alta.
2. Afloje el tornillo y saque la aguja.
3. Con la parte plana de la aguja mirando hacia atrás,
inserte la nueva aguja hasta llegar a su tope.
4. Ajuste el tornillo fuertemente.
Cambio del prensatelas de
colocación instantánea
1. Eleve la aguja a su posición más alta, girando el
volante de mano hacia Vd.
2. Suba el prensatelas utilizando la palanca elevadora
situada detrás de la máquina.
3. Presione el dedo del prensatelas (1) hacia arriba,
hasta que éste salga de su anclaje (2).
4. Quite el prensatelas de la máquina.
5. Coloque el nuevo prensatelas debajo del centro de su
anclaje.
6. Baje la palanca del prensatelas colocando el anclaje
sobre el eje del prensatelas (3).
7. No gire el tornillo. en su lugar, presione el tornillo (4)
hacia abajo firmemente hasta que encaje en su sitio.
Changer l'aiguille
1. Soulevez l'aiguille en position haute.
2. Dévissez la vis du pince-aiguille et retirez l'aiguille.
3. Insérez la nouvelle aiguille à fond dans le pince-
aiguille, le côté plat du talon à l'arrière.
4. Serrez la vis du pince-aiguille.
Comment changer les
semelles à enclenchement
direct
1. Relevez l'aiguille à sa position haute.
2. Relevez la semelle en la soulevant de l'avant vers
l'arrière.
3. Appuyez sur la semelle (1) jusqu'à ce qu'elle se
détache (2).
4. Retirez-la.
5. Placez la nouvelle semelle en la centrant sous la tige.
6. Baissez le releveur du pied presseur pour engager la
tige dans la traverse de la semelle (3).
7. Ne vissez pas mais appuyez fermement sur la vis (4)
jusqu'à enclenchement.
