The lithium ion battery is protected against deep discharging by
the "Electronic Cell Protection (ECP)". When the battery is empty,
the machine is switched off by means of a protective circuit: The
inserted tool no longer rotates.
Do not continue to press the On/Off switch af-

ter the machine has been automatically
switched off. The battery can be damaged.
A battery that is new or has not been used for a longer period does
not develop its full capacity until after approx. 5 charging/dis-
charging cycles.
When the battery charge-control indicator 7 lights up red while
the On/Off switch 1 is pressed, then the battery has less than 30%
of its capacity and should be charged.
– Plug the mains plug of the battery charger into a socket outlet
and the charger plug 10 into the socket 9 on the rear side of
the handle.

– Plug the mains plug of the battery charger into a socket outlet
and the charger plug 10 into the socket on the rear side of the
battery charge cradle 11. Afterwards, place the cordless uni-
versal cutter into the charge cradle.
The battery charge-control indicator 7 indicates the charging
progress. The indicator flashes green during the charge proce-
dure. The battery is completely charged when the indicator lights
up green continuously.
During the charging procedure, the handle of the machine warms
up. This is normal.
Disconnect the battery charger from the mains supply when not
using it for longer periods.
Protect the battery charger against moisture!
Observe the notes for disposal.
Changing the Tool (see figures B1
– Secure the lock-off button 2.
– Rotate the blade 4 with a screwdriver until one of the holes in
the blade is free (uncovered).
– Insert a thin, sturdy object (e.g., a nail) into the free hole, to
block the blade.
– Unscrew the blade screw 12.
– Remove the object with which you blocked the blade.
– Slightly lift off the blade and pull it out towards the bottom.
– Attach the new blade onto the tool holder ensuring that the
ground edge of the blade faces you.
Pay attention that the blade engages onto the tool holder.
– Tighten the blade screw again.
