CAUTION
When cutting fuel line to length, ALWAYS use a
sharp razor knife or blade. Never cut fuel line
with side cutters or similar tools as they will
crimp the line closed.
ATTENTION
Cut the OEM fuel pump outlet line above fuel
tank. Refer to fig. 21. Pay special attention when
cutting the fuel line as pressure may be present.
– (1) OEM Fuel Line Cutting Location
ATTENTION
Insert the supplied fuel line tee and point
towards rear of vehicle.
– (1) Fuel Line Protective Loom
– (2) Heater Fuel Line
– (3) Fuel Line Supply Tee
– (4) Fuel Hose Clamps
ATTENTION
Depending on kit model and application, a fuel
filter may be supplied. If the heater kit does not
include a fuel filter, you can purchase an
optional filter from Webasto. Order genuine
Webasto fuel filter P/N 487171. The filter can be
installed anywhere between the fuel tap
connection and the fuel pump inlet. Typically,
the filter is installed at the fuel pump inlet.
ATTENTION
Install protective loom over heater fuel line and
connect line to supply tee. Route fuel line as
shown back to fuel pump inlet. Fuel line must
be secured at 305 mm (12 in.) intervals along its
total run. Keep fuel line away from heat sources
such as exhaust system components.
