Clearing clogs
Lowsuctionor poorpickupmay bedueto a clog
in the vacuumcleaner. I f younoticea changein
the soundofthe motor, c heckfor clogs.
1.
Unplugthe vacuum from electricaloutlet.
2.
Emptydirt container.
3.
Checkuppertank for build up or clogs.
4.
If you noticea clog in the uppertank, flip
the separatorplatedown, removethe debris
barrier,if necessary, a nd removethe article
causingthe clog. Replacedebris barrier and
flip separatordoor back to its original posi-
tion. (seesection "Cleaningthe UpperTank"
on page16).

Graspthe curved wand and separateit from
the hosewand base.Checkfor a clog in the
base,the wand or in the hose.
NOTE: On selectunitsthat havethe clean
filter indicator, w henthe indicator reads
black,thereis a clogin the hosewhichis
diminishing suctionpower. R emove the clog
in the hoseto restorefull suctionpower.

Remove t heTwist'nSnaphosefromthe vacuum
byturningtothe right.Straighten thehoseand
undogwitha long,narrow object.

If you noticedebris or dirt clogged in the
connectingtube, removeit by pulling it out
at the top and lifting the tube out. Cleanthe
tube of any debris andclear any possible
clog from the port to the pre-motorfilter.
Reattachtube by first installing the baseand
than pushin the top of the tube.

If the clog persists,follow the instructions
for checkingthe rotatingfloor brush and
drive belt on page 12 and inspectthe air
passagewayfor obstructions.
