7 Record S ettings
Before y ou s tart:
To c onfigure r ecord s ettings, p lease m ake s ure t hat y ou h ave t he n etwork s torage d evice w ithin t he
network o r t he M icro S D c ard i nserted i n y our s peed d ome.
7.1 Configuring N AS S ettings
Before y ou s tart:
The n etwork d isk s hould b e a vailable w ithin t he n etwork a nd p roperly c onfigured t o s tore t he
recorded f iles, l og f iles, e tc.
Steps:
1) Add t he n etwork d isk
2) Enter t he N AS ( Network-­‐Attached S torage) S ettings i nterface:
Configuration > A dvanced C onfiguration > S torage > N AS
3) Select t he N AS t ype a s N FS o r S MB/CIFS. I f y ou s elect S MB/CIFS, y ou n eed t o e nter t he U ser N ame
and P assword.
4) Enter t he I P a ddress o f t he n etwork d isk. T he d efault N FS s torage f ormat o f f ile p ath i s / dvr/test a s
shown i n F igure 7 -­‐2. A nd t he d efault S MB/CIFS s torage f ormat o f f ile p ath i s / test.
NOTE: T he n etwork d isk f ile p ath n ame s hare i s u ser-­‐defined w hile c reating t he D VR n etwork
storage. P lease r efer t o t he U ser M anual o f N AS f or c reating t he f ile p ath.
5) Click to a dd t he n etwork d isk.
NOTE: A fter h aving s aved s uccessfully, y ou n eed t o r eboot t he s peed d ome t o a ctivate t he
settings.
6) Initialize t he a dded n etwork d isk.
7) Enter t he H DD S ettings i nterface ( Advanced C onfiguration > S torage > S torage M anagement), i n
which y ou c an v iew t he c apacity, f ree s pace, s tatus, t ype a nd p roperty o f t he d isk.
8) If t he s tatus o f t he d isk i s U ninitialized a s s hown i n 0 , c heck t he c orresponding
checkbox t o s elect t he d isk a nd c lick
