Fingerprint reader board (includes bracket, cable, and double-sided adhesive)
The fingerprint reader bracket is available in the Bracket Kit, spare part number 848232-001.
Before removing the fingerprint reader board, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.

Remove the fingerprint reader board:
1. Turn the top cover upside down with the front toward you.
2. Remove the Phillips PM2.0×2.0 screw (1) that secures the fingerprint reader board and bracket to the
top cover.
3. Lift the fingerprint reader board bracket off the fingerprint reader board (2).
The fingerprint reader board bracket is available in the Bracket Kit, spare part number 848232-001.
4. Detach the fingerprint reader board cable (3) from the system board .
