ESC c 3 n selects whether to output paper-end signals or not to a parallel interface. When the TOF
sensor or the BOF sensor is enabled and a paper-end is deleted, the paper-end signal is output. The
default setting is (n=0).
When both of these sensors are selected to output signals and either one detects a paper-end, the
paper-end signal is output. If both of these sensors are disabled, the paper-end signal is not output
(always paper present status). This command is enabled only with a parallel interface and is ignored
with a serial interface.
The paper sensor(s) used to output paper-end signals are selected by using n as follows:
