CLOCK

GENERAL

Figure 7-72.
An illuminated clock is on the right side of
the dash panel. The clock runs continuously as long as there
is battery power.
OPERATION
Set clock using knob on clock face. Press knob inward to
engage clock hands. Turn knob clockwise to set the desired
time.
If clock fails, replace it as a unit. With the exception of a
replaceable light bulb (Part No. 68868-98Y) the clock con-
tains no user serviceable parts.
NOTE
Remember to reset clock after disconnecting battery.
REMOVAL
1.
Detach turn signals and mirrors (metric) to remove front
fairing.
2.
See
Figure 7-73.
Unplug red wire (1) and black wire (2).
3.
Pull bulb housing (4) from back of clock.
4.
Remove two nuts and lockwashers (3) to free clock
housing (6) from mounting bracket (5).
5.
From front of dash panel, remove clock housing (6).
INSTALLATION
1.
See
Figure 7-73.
Slide clock housing (6) through front of
dash panel.
2.
Place mounting bracket (5) on threaded shafts of clock
housing (6). Secure with two nuts and lockwashers (3).
3.
Attach red wire (1) and black wire (2) as shown.
4.
Insert bulb housing (4) into clock housing (6).
5.
Attach front fairing, mirrors and turn signals. Refer to
installation instructions under
2.34 FRONT
